Why Tyto?

Most data documents end up as either dense PDFs or fragile Jupyter notebooks. Tyto aims to be a third option: a publication format that reads like a well-set book but lives on the web.

The design priorities are:

1. Vertical rhythm — every element sits on a 1.5 rem baseline grid so the page feels settled and easy to scan.
2. Typographic restraint — two typefaces (Source Serif 4 for prose, Iosevka for code), three weights each. Nothing else.
3. Zero distraction — the menu hides until you need it, and the TOC appears only when there is something to navigate.
